    Son of Noah and Flora Cox Talley; born May 3, 1894, Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Moved to Indiana in 1912. Student at Central Business School. Bookkeeper. Enlisted in U. S. Regular Army, December 10, 1917, Indianapolis, Indiana. Trained at Ft. Thomas, Kentucky, Camp Hancock, Georgia and Camp Greene, North Carolina; assigned to 4th Motor Mechanics Regiment, Signal Corps. Died of empyema, Camp Greene, North Carolina May 25, 1918. Buried at Mooresville, Indiana. Survived by widow, Norris May Talley, Mooresville, Indiana.
