Ralph Voyles...........Gunner's Mate, 2nd Class

    Son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas A. Voyles; born October 13, 1893, near Martinsville, Indiana. Farmer. Enlisted as Apprentice Seaman, in U. S. Navy, July 12, 1916, Indianapolis, Indiana. Stationed at Great Lakes Training School, Illinois; transferred to duty on the Wyoming, then the Arkansas, and later tot he Mississippi. Died of pneumonia at Navy Hospital, Brooklyn, New York January 22, 1919. Buried in Nebo Cemetery, near Martinsville, Indiana.
