    Son of David L. and Angeline Wilson; born February 25, 1894, Stilesville, Hendricks County, Indiana. Farmer. Entered service October 6, 1917, Martinsville, Indiana. Sent to Camp Taylor, Kentucky. Transferred to Camp Shelby, Mississippi; later to Camp Merritt, New Jersey. Overseas in June, 1918; assigned to Machine Gun Company, 39th Infantry, 4th Division. Fought at Chateau-Thierry, and in the Meuse-Argonne Offensive. Killed in action October 10, 1918. Buried on field where he fell.
