Son of George W. and Sarah Gannon Adams; born May 21, 1896, Haddon Township, Sullivan County, Indiana. Farmer. Entered service September 3, 1918, Sullivan, Indiana. Sent to Camp Grant, Illinois; assigned to Company C, 161st Depot Brigade. Contracted pneumonia and died October 7, 1918, Camp Grant. Buried in Shepherd Cemetery, seven miles southwest of Carlisle, Indiana.
