Son of Frank and Lucinda Francis Laughery; born July 10, 1888, Clark County, Illinois. Moved to Sullivan County, Indiana, 1902; later years spent in Illinois. Automobile mechanic. Entered service May 28, 1918, Robinson, Illinois. Sent tot Camp Gordon, Georgia. Overseas August 28, 1918; assigned to 322nd Machine Gun Battalion; transferred to Company B, 112th Machine Gun Battalion, 29th Division. Killed in action October 15, 1918, Bois de Consenvoye, France. Buried in Argonne-American Cemetery, Romagne, France.
