Son of Whitman (deceased) and Mary Norris; born January 1, 1894, Turman Township, Sullivan County, Indiana. laborer. Entered service May 27, 1918, Sullivan County, Indiana. Sent to Camp Taylor, Kentucky. Transferred to Camp Beauregard, Louisiana. Overseas August 7, 1918; assigned to Company F, 125th Infantry, 32nd Division. Died of wounds October 4, 1918, received in the Meuse-Argonne Offensive. Buried in Communal Cemetery, Epinonville, (Meuse) France. Survived by widow, Anna Norris, and one son, Floyd Edward Norris.
