    Son of Benton and Clara Day; born July 5, 1895, near Tennyson, Warrick County, Indiana. Farmer. Entered service may 29, 1918, Boonville, Indiana. Sent to Camp Wheeler, Georgia; assigned to 4th Company, 1st Provisional Regiment; transferred to 122nd Infantry. Sent to Camp Mills, New York, where he died of influenza-pneumonia October 13, 1918. Buried at Bloomfield, Indiana.
