F., France, January 10, 1919: The following citations for acts of meritorious conduct described are published to the command: ........Private Claude Husnaker, Machine Gun Company, 120th Infantry. On the night of September 30, 1918, near Bellicourt, while the company was in the Hindenburg Line a shells truck in one of the machine-gun positions killing two of the men and seriously wounding a third man. These two soldiers, together with three others volunteered to go and get this wounded man and carry him to the dressing station. These soldiers with their lieutenant and three other soldiers went after the wounded man through a concentrated barrage and carried him six hundred yards to the dressing station. Their courage could not have better been proven and is worthy of the utmost commendation.....By command of Major General Lewis: John K. Herr, Chief of Staff. Official: Andrew J.
