Jefferson O. Meyers.......2nd Lieutenant

    Son of Oliver Perry and Nora Mize Meyers; born December 14, 1888, near Elnora, Daviess County, Indiana. Moved to Warrick County, Indiana in May, 1911. Graduate of Chicago University, Department of Law. Attorney, Ouray, Colorado. Enlisted in Officers Reserve Corps, Signal Corps, June 5, 1917, Omaha, Nebraska. Assigned to Aviation Service; commissioned 2nd Lieutenant. Overseas November 23, 1917. Killed in aeroplane accident June 1, 1918 near Chateauroux, France. Body returned, and buried in Maple Grove Cemetery, Boonville, Indiana.
