Ernest Small.........Gunner's Mate

    Son of George S. and Della Small; born June 1, 1897, Chandler, Warrick County, Indiana. Enlisted in U. S. Navy September 24, 1913. Re-enlisted in 1916, Evansville, Indiana. Sent to Goat Island, California where he served as 1st Class Electrician and Gunner's Mate. Lost life March 4, 1918 on board the Cyclops when sunk by submarine.
