Floyd H. Barnes
DODGE CITY -- Floyd H. Barnes 78. died July 9, 1989, at Wesley Medical
Center, Wichita. born Oct. 31, 1910 in Ford County near Spearville, he
married Zada M. Hayes July 23, 1931 at Fort Collins, Colo. A retired Santa
Few railroad engineer, he was a resident of Dodge City since 1928.
He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the Baracca Brotherhood
Sunday school class, Dodge city, the Dodge City Masonic bodies, the Wichita
Consistory, and the Midian Shrine, Wichita.
Survivors, wife of the home, sons, Jim, Dodge City, Floyd Jr., Raleigh, N.C.;
daughter Virginia Gering, Peoria, Ill., brothers Wayne, Marvin and Merle all of
dodge City and five grandchildren.
Funeral will be 10:30 to 8 p.m.. Wednesday at Swaim Funeral Home, Dodge City,
the Rev. Thomas M. Church. Burial will be in Greencrest Memorial Gardens,
Dodge City. Friends may call from 10 a. m. to 8 p. m. today at the funeral
home. Memorials my go to the church in care of the funeral home.
