Jim C. Fleming

Copeland--Jim C. Fleming, 74, died May 14, 1998, at St. Catherine Hospital, Garden City.

Born Nov. 19, 1923, in Spearville, the son of William and Annie (Tully) Fleming he married Frances Losciuton on June 9, 1945, in Galveston, Texas.

He was a self employed building contractor.  He was a United States Navy Chief Petty officer serving during World War II.

He was a member of the Catholic faith and past commander of the American Legion, Copeland.

Survivors include wife, of the the home, two sons, William, Garden City and Steven, New Hampshire; one daughter, Patricia Matthews, Holcomb; three brothers, Eugene, Ulysses, John Copeland, and Robert, California, three sisters, Kathleen Redburn, Dodge City, Marcella Weide, Great Bend, and Emily Newby, Garden City; seven grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.

A grave side service will be 2 PM today at Copeland Cemetery, Copeland with the Rev. Jun Mangulabnan officiating, Military rites will be performed by the Copeland American Legion Honor Guard, Burial will follow in the Copeland Cemetery, Copeland.

Friends may call from 9 AM until noon today at Price and Sons Funeral Home, Garden City.

The family suggests memorials to Copeland American Legion in care of the funeral home.
