Topeka - Inez Putnam Hoffman, 90 died April 14, 1990, at the United Methodist Home, Topeka.
Born on Dec. 9, 1899, at Admire, she married Martin William Hoffman on Jan. 31, 1925, at Bucklin. He died July 22, 1925, at Bucklin. She graduated from Kansas State University. She was a teacher at Bunker Hill, Kingsdown and Cedar Point, where she retired, and was formerly a secretary. A former Kingsdown resident in the late 1920's and early 1930's, she lived at Topeka since 1962.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church and Order of the Eastern Star, both of Emporia, Daughters of American Colonists and Daughters of the American Revolution.
Survivors include: a son, Leslie Dale Hoffman, Kansas City, Kan.; a daughter, M. Joyce Berman, Tonganoxie; a brother, Perry Putnam, Emporia; five grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Muriel Hoffman, on Feb. 21, 1990.
The funeral will be at 1 p. m. Tuesday at the Mulvane Chapel at United Methodist Home, Topeka, the Rev. Charles Benton officiating. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Bucklin Cemetery.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday at Newcomer-Diffenderfer Funeral Home, Topeka. The family suggest memorials to the United Methodist Home in care of the funeral home.
