A. G. Dunn Obituary

The Western Star, June 24, 1921

A. G. Dunn, who was for many years a resident of Kiowa-co. and who for a few years made his home in this city, died shortly after 1 o'clock a.m. on Wednesday of last week at the home of his son, Oscar C. Dunn, between Coldwater and Greensburg and was buried in the Greensburg cemetery on Thursday, following funeral services, at the home, conducted by Rev. Dent, the Baptist pastor in Greensburg.  Mr. Dunn had been in failing health for several months.

Deceased was born in West Lodi, Seneca-co., Ohio, and at the time of his death was 67 years, 2 months and 13 days of age.  While a resident of Ohio he was united in marriage with Miss Mary Goltan, who with one son and two daughters, survive him.  The son is Oscar Dunn in Kiowa-co. and the daughters are Mrs. Eva Parkin of Kiowa-co. and Mrs. Viola Rodgers of Hopewell, Kans.  Two brothers - A. Dunn of Kiowa-co. and Emerson Dunn of Dighton, Kans., - also survive.

Mr. Dunn moved from Ohio to Sumner-co., Kansas, where he resided for a few years.  About 20 years ago Mr. and Mrs. Dunn settled in Kiowa-co., coming from there to Coldwater and making their home for about four years.  During the past few years they had made their home near Ingalls, Kans., until a year or so ago, when they returned to the old home place in Kiowa-co.  Mr. Dunn was a good citizen and the news of his death brings to all who knew him a keen sense of sorrow.  The bereaved family have the sympathy of all.
