My great-grandfather, William Henry
married a girl from Ray County, MO, on 05 JAN 1887. Her name was Louise Kirtley
BALL. On their marriage license it says he is of Stafford County, Kansas. He
graduated from the University of Missouri School of Medicine in 1882. I assume he was practicing
medicine in St John. Their only child, my grandmother, was born 06 MAY 1888. I do not know whether
she was born in St John, KS, or at her mother's home in Richmond, MO. Is there anything in your
old records to indicate that Dr LOUEGAY was practicing medicine when your county was newly established?
The reason I have homed in on St John in the county is because that town in on the back of some very
early photographs of my grandmother. I have reason to believe the three of them left for Denver, CO in the
mid-1890's. Any information will be greatly appreciated.
