Genealogies of Franklin County Families

Henry Penn and Mary or Adelia ?

Henry Penn, son of Shadrach and Margaret Holland Penn, was born October 1798, probably in Scott County, Kentucky as indicated by revolutionary
pension application submitted by his mother, Margaret, as widow of Shadrach Penn, Sr.  Record also indicates Henry Penn was a resident of
Trimble County, Kentucky at his mother's death in 1843.

Information from on Penn family researcher suggest Henry Penn married a woman named Mary and he died in Trimble County, Kentucky on
July 17, 1858.  It is also suggested he was the father of a Daniel Penn, born 1829 in Scott County, Kentucky.  Daniel and an unknown wife
left issue; John Wesley Penn (1855 -1923) who married Eliza Mitchell.

There is much controversy among Penn family researchers concerning the descendants of Joseph Penn, Noah Penn and Henry Penn.  All
three men died intestate prior to 1850 and to add to the confusion, may have married women named Mary.  Information located in Frankli,
Henry and Trimble counties on this family has been included.

More research is needed to prove the lineage of the Henry Penn family.
