Wiley Family

John T. Wiley, born about 1840 obtained a marriage bond in Franklin County on November 11, 1864 to marry Geraldine Carr.
 John and Geraldine are listed on the 1870 census, Bald Knob District with their children; Sarah, born about 1866, Samuel,
born 1867 and Lewis, born 1870. Samuel Ennis Wiley, born April 23, 1867 and died August 4, 1951.  He married, Martha Ann "Mattie
"McQuillen, daughter of Frank McQuillen and Martha Duvall on October 3, 1889 in Franklin County.  Mattie was born June 16, 1865
in Franklin County and died from carcinoma of the stomach on February 9, 1922. Both are buried at Harvieland Methodist Church
Cemetery located on Harvieland Road near Union Store. Their children; Herman Wiley, born July 20, 1890, Constance Wiley, born
December 8, 1891, Minnie Wiley, born October 20, 1893, John Nelson Wiley, born September 30, 1895, died July 10, 1991, Naomi
Wiley, born January 31, 1898, Ruth Golden, born October 14, 1899, Mary Agnes Wiley, born November 26, 1901, Martha Geraldine,
born May 28, 1904, Laura Rebecca, born June 16, 1906 and Sarah Elizabeth, born August 8, 1909.
On November 15, 1922 in Franklin County, Samuel married the widow Callie McCoy.  She was the daughter of Will Shaw and Charity Harrod. Callie died January 9, 1953 and is buried at Harvieland Methodist Church Cemetery. John Nelson Wiley, born September 30,1895 in Franklin County died on July 10, 1991 in Fayette County.  On January 11, 1918, he enlisted in the U. S. Navy. During World War I, he served on the U.S.S. Lake. and was discharged on August 29, 1919. On December 25, 1923, John married Mary Elizabeth Harrod,daughter of Forest and Emma Hoover Harrod. John is buried in the Frankfort Cemetery next to his first wife, Elizabeth, who died February 10, 1975.  He married second, Elizabeth B. O'Nan in Franklin County on August 25, 1977.
