1. Charley ALEXANDER, 11, died last Wednesday morning of a complication of diseases; parents were Mr. and Mrs. William ALEXANDER; was buried in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
2. Jerry NORTHCUTT and Miss Ida MAY were married at bride's parents last Wednesday by Rev. J. A. Davis.

Keefer News: George TAYLOR, who moved to Cincinnati a month ago, buried his son in the cemetery at Mason last week.

Stewartsville News: Henry ROLAND, of Chadwell, Virginia, and Miss Anna BRUMBACK, of Dry Ridge, were married at the Baptist Church last Wednesday. Elder William McMILLAN officiating.

Flingsville News:
1. Married on the 26th, at the Christian Church at Gardnersville, Frank MIDDLETON to Miss Nannie MENEFEE and Wm. CLAYCAMP to Miss Stella DeLANEY.
2. Ben RENICK, who was accidentally shot through the lung last July, is no better.

Corinth News:
1. The invalid daughter of "Uncle" Perry WHEAT, fell into the fire last Monday and was seriously burned.
2. Mrs. Mollie SECHRIST died of consumption last Monday morning.

Sherman News - Jessie KING, of Lexington, a brakeman on the Southern R. R. was killed by an overhead bridge near Walton last Sunday night; his body fell between the cars and caught on the bumpers and was not found until the train reached Sherman.

Henry BOSWELL and Miss Allie GODMAN were married in Cynthiana early last week; began housekeeping on Falmouth Street [Williamstown]; he is son of Assessor R. L. BOSWELL.

Sad account of the suicide, by poisoning, of the wife of Edward FULTZ, of Westport, Indiana, last Friday [letter from Mr. FULTZ is dated January 2, 1895]; she eloped [September 17th] with J. W. [John] MARTIN, who lives in Grant County with his family; she died in St. Elizabeth Hospital, Covington, leaving husband and 3 children.

Heekin News:
1. Died on the 12th, Allie, the 6 months old infant of G. W. SCROGGIN and wife. The remains were interred in the cemetery at the Christian Church on Sunday, January 13.
2. The remains of Mrs. Priscilla SIMPSON were laid to rest in the cemetery in Grassy Run on Sunday, January 20. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. HURD, of the Baptist Church.

A Rival Lover's Crime - Samuel [Sam] MONTGOMERY killed by his half-brother, George DUNCAN, yesterday [January 18, 1895] at Williamstown; was courting Miss Henrietta ALLEN, a music teacher, daughter of a farmer near Williamstown; MONTGOMERY had shot DUNCAN two months before. [Actually the tragedy occurred in Williamsburg, Whitley County, not Williamstown.]

Elliston News - Miss Minnie BURHART died at the home of her brother at Napoleon on the 23rd, of consumption. Her remains were interred at Warsaw.

Leniton News - Born to the wife of John ROBINSON, a girl.

Obituary for Ottis LITTELL, one day short of 19, died last Monday, January 28, 1895, at his parents Williamstown home, after long painful typhoid fever; was oldest son of James A. LITTELL and wife; funeral was Tuesday by Rev. G. W. HILL, followed by burial in Williamstown Cemetery.

Born to the wife of Charley BAGBY, on the 25th, a daughter.

Born to the wife of Thomas CHIPMAN, on Saturday, the 26th, a girl.

Death of Mrs. W. S. PRYOR, wife of Kentucky Chief Justice, last Friday, January 25, at her New Castle, Henry County, home.

Obituary - Mrs. Priscilla SIMPSON died January 18, 1895, at the home of Mrs. Juda SIMPSON; was born February 22, 1818; funeral preached by Rev. HURD; her brother Jesse ROBINSON and sister Mrs. Juda KINMAN preceded her a few months; lived with her niece, Mrs. Juda SIMPSON the past 15 years.

Died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Daniel HARRISON, near Mason, "Uncle" Henry SIPPLE, past 70; was deacon at Grassy Run Baptist Church for over 50 years; funeral preached by Revs. HALL and E. F. FORD.

Death of Mrs. Lulie HEDGES, wife of John HEDGES, Tuesday, January 29, at her home near Mason; was born June 6, 1872; leaves husband and 2 children, father, brothers and sisters; funeral preached by E. F. HURD at Bethel Church.

A verdict for $5000 returned by the Circuit Court Jury against the Cincinnati Southern [railroad] for killing Fletcher DICKERSON, the son of W. N. DICKERSON [4 years ago].

The wife of Charlie YOUNGER, who lives on Forklick, died at her home on last Thursday night, in childbirth. Her remains were interred in the cemetery at Crooked Creek on Friday.

The common school at Cherry Grove [Hardscrabble] was destroyed by fire one night last week.

The wife of John R. CLARK, who resides about 1 mile south of town, was burned to death on Thursday night of last week [clothes caught on fire]; died next morning leaving 2 week old baby and husband who is an aged Union army veteran and pensioner; she was buried Friday at Hardscrabble graveyard.

Messrs. John BICKERS and L. WEISENBURG, of Frankfort and L. WEISENBURG, of Frankfort, were attending Circuit Court here the first of the week. [The latter was plaintiff vs. CARDER and VALLANDINGHAM and was awarded $1,750 - in the next issue.]

Judge Joe M. COLLINS died at his Covington home the 14th; was oldest member of the Grant County Bar.

The celebrated Cebera ALLPHIN will case began. U. C. left an estate valued at $70,000 nearly all of which was in cash, cash notes and bonds. By his will his wife, whom he had married late in life, was devised his entire estate.

Letter from Charley PETTIT in California - he was born upon the banks of the Licking [river] during the cornshucking time of the year 1862; his grandfather came from Virginia, settled in Kentucky and raised a large family, most of whom have had considerable trouble in evading the revenue laws.

Death of Dr. Wm. T. McGINNIS, son of Hon. H. T. McGINNIS, of Eminence, Ky., at his father's home on the 12th of typhoid fever; prominent physician who nursed his sister, Mrs. Grace MOODY, following her to the grave by 3 weeks.

Marriage of T. J. PETTIT and Miss Mary L. CONRAD at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. T. J. CONRAD, near Mt. Zion, Thursday, February 14, 1895, by Rev. G. W. HILL, of Williamstown.

Sherman News - Misses Grace and Daisy FRANKS are visiting their aunt Emma BLACKBURN at Covington this week.

Doudton News - Miss Pearl FRANKS, of Sherman, was visiting her grandma, Mrs. M. A. BLACKBURN, last week.

Stewartsville News - Wm. CHIPMAN's little daughter fell into the fire and was seriously burned.

1. Died on last Thursday evening at N. WEBSTER's, Bert KENNEDY, aged 17 years, of consumption. His remains were interred in the Clark Burying Ground near Cherry Grove.
2. Miss Grace WEBB of Cordova, is assisting her sister, Miss Mattie, in teaching the last week of school.

Stewartsville News - Miss Anna SLATTEN, of Woodford County, is visiting her sister, Mrs. STEWART.

Flingsville News - Married on the 20th, at the residence of the bride's parents, August TOMLIN to Miss Eunice TROUTMAN, all of this place. Rev. Wm. McMILLAN, of Knoxville, officiating.

Flingsville News - Died on the 23rd, Mrs. Elizabeth WHITE, of this place. Funeral Monday at her late residence. Interment at Wm. MENEFEE's.

In Memory of Charles [Charley] CARTER, who died January 31, 1894, aged 26 years; poem follows by "A Friend", mentions a sister and loving mother.

Hon. Fred[erick] DOUGLAS, the colored orator and statesman, and the greatest of his race, died very suddenly at his home in Washington, D. C. on the 20th, aged 78 years.

Sheriff John VANARSDALL, of Mercer County, who shot and killed Dr. HARROD a few months ago, has been found not guilty.

Born to the wife of Wm. STROUD Jr. on the 22nd, an 8 pound girl.

J. W. BELEW, of near Knoxville, died at his home on last Wednesday. His remains were interred at the Smith Burying Ground in Pendleton County. Mr. BELEW was 40 years of age at the time of his death and leaves a wife and 6 small children.

EDS. Courier - I wish to correct the mistakes concerning my Mother's death. She was burned on Wednesday, February 6, about 9 o'clock. She went to lay the baby in a large chair, and I think her clothes caught on fire in the back. She was alone in the house. Her clothes were all burned off of her and top of one shoe. She was buried in Williamstown Cemetery Thursday evening at 3 o'clock. The baby was about a month old. Julia CLARK.

2. Jury decided for the will of [U. C.] ALLPHIN - Mrs. ALLPHIN will get the entire estate.
3. Kate CONRAD granted a divorce from William CONRAD; she was granted custody of the children with the father given visiting rights at all times.

Doudton News - Mrs.Andy WORKS, who died at the Lexington Asylum, was buried at Mt. Carmel last Friday.

Miss Marietta HAWKINS, of Leesbury, Ky. [visited] her aunt Mrs. R. A. COLLINS.

T. J. BROWNING, of Dry Ridge, and Mrs. Margaret J. VALLANDINGHAM of Gardnersville, will be united in marriage at the Baptist Church at Gardnersville on Wednesday, March 20, 1895, at 3 o'clock, by Rev. Wm. McMILLAN, of Williamstown.

Abraham McMILLAN, father of Judge J. D. McMILLAN, is sick at the home of his son, Henry, near Elliston Station.

Mrs. Ben BARNETT, of near town, died on Tuesday and was buried at the cemetery at this place [Williamstown] yesterday. Her death was produced by a severe attack of malarial fever.

Mrs. Elizabeth WHITE died at her home, 2 miles from Crittenden, Saturday night, February 23, 1895, of paralysis; was born November 11, 1832; last October 38 years ago she was married to Thos. WHITE Esq [who] died 28 years ago this month, leaving 3 children to raise; she leaves 2 daughters and a son; funeral preached by the writer, Rev. G. W. HILL; buried in the family burying ground.

In Memoriam - William Henry CHILDERS whose death occurred March 6, 1895, was laid to rest in Williamstown Cemetery on Friday afternoon; funeral at the house by Rev. G. H. FARLEY, of the Christian Church; was 69; suffered from rheumatism for over 18 years; leaves widow, several grown children, a brother, and two sisters; [written by] Rosa E. ANGEL WILBER.

Miss Helen Elizabeth McELRATH, daughter of T. J. McELRATH, of Carrollton, is studying law in her father's office.

Marriage license was issued Monday to J. D. CALANDER, 25, and Mrs. Lunetta BLACKBURN, 34. The groom is from Owen County and the bride of Grant County.

John McGREGOR died at the residence of G. M. JAMESON, near New Eagle Mills, Ky., Monday, March 11, 1895, at 10 o'clock, of cancer of the stomach; born at Callander, Scotland September 24, 1816; emigrated to America 40 years ago; stone cutter by trade; in fall, 1862, joined 5th KY Brigade under John C. BRECKINRIDGE; joined Baptist Church at 16.

Miss Francis FINCH has been visiting her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. J. M. RIDDELL.

Mrs. H. T. WOLFE has been visiting her brother, J. V. VIOLETTE, of Crittenden.

Mrs. Addie ENGLISH left to visit her sister, Mrs. Hiram BERRY, of Frankfort.

Miss Bettie WHITE returned from a 13 week stay with her sister, Mrs. Dr. ORR, of Alexandria, Campbell County, Ky.

Hon. Frank BYERS, member of the recent Kansas Legislature, is visiting his brother, R. E. BYERS.

Mrs. Dr. J. T. SCOTT, her daughter and son returned from a visit to her daughter, Mrs. Dr. TUCKER, of Jonesville.

Obituary - John B. RANKIN, for 18 years a citizen of Williamstown, died at Midway, Kentucky on March 9th [1895]; funeral at Williamstown and burial in town cemetery March 11th; born and reared in Scott County; was 67; his father was Thomas RANKIN, a Methodist minister who travelled the Williamstown circuit for years; his brothers were William S. RANKIN, a Williamstown lawyer, and Hugh RANKIN, Methodist preacher; wife was Miss Elizabeth FITCH of this county; leaves 4 sons, 2 daughters, and 2 sisters, Mrs. S. B. FITCH, of this county, and Mrs. Mattie DAUGHERTY, of Somerset, Ky.; died of la grippe at the home of his son, Wayne RANKIN, near Midway, Ky.; life long member of Methodist Church.

Death of Z. BENSON, 70, at his home near town, last Thursday, the 7th, of hemorrhoids, though he suffered long from a nervous trouble; buried in Williamstown Cemetery Saturday; survived by widow and 4 sons.

Married at Zion Station, on Wednesday morning, March 6, at home of Thomas LEARY - Charles LUCAS and Miss Stella LUCAS, by Rev. E. F. HURD; their future home is North Bend, Ohio.

Miss Elizabeth E. LYNN, 21, of near Corinth, obtained her marriage license to Louis B. EVANS, of the same place, last Tuesday, as he was sick and unable to come to Williamstown; he has long since past 21 years of age.

Private marriage of Miss Allie DeJARNETTE to William E. SULLIVAN, of Glencoe, Gallatin County, yesterday, [Wednesday, March 20, 1895?] at her parent's home on Cynthiana Street [in Williamstown]: eldest daughter [little past 18] of Capt. A. G. DeJARNETTE; he is bank cashier at Glencoe where they will live, married by bride's kinsman, Rev. Wm. ADAMS, of Gallatin County.

Suicide of Dr. D. B. ALLEN, of Warsaw, Ky., last Monday, by shooting himself in the head with a revolver; despondent over la grippe; leaves nice fortune to his surviving wife; was President of Walton Deposit Bank.

Elliston News:
1. Born to the wife of G. W. GREENWELL, on the 18th, a girl, weight, 8-1/2 pounds.
2. Born to Mrs. Jeptha LAWRENCE, on the 18th, a girl. This is the 15th child born to them.
3. W. D. ELLISTON received word Saturday morning that his step father-in-law, Daniel BROWN, of near Poplar Grove, Owen County, had committed suicide by hanging himself. The cause of the rash act is attributed to an attack of grip.
4. Untimely death of Dr. ALLAN, of Warsaw, reported; he had a large practice here at one time.

1. George RANSDELL and Miss Fletia SMITH were married last Sunday. They will soon leave for California, their future home.
2. Miss Emma COLEMAN and Dave MARSHALL were married at the Baptist Church Wednesday afternoon.

1. Judge McMILLAN was born in Grant County June 26, 1856; his parents, Abraham and Delcina McMILLAN, are still living; married daughter of Prof. Ed. Porter THOMPSON, of Harrisburg College, Owen County; lost his wife in Arkansas; next married daughter of B. P. CLARK in Ky., by whom, 5 children were born - Marcella Kate, Elbert Clark, Albert Porter, Jennie Pauline, and Henry Bryant; 2 of his sons are twins; he is a Republican and a Baptist.

3. William SHIELDS was born April 30, 1858, in the Oak Ridge neighborhood, where he yet resides; son of J. T. and Francis SHIELDS; a Republican and a farmer; wife is daughter of Louis E. BURROUGHS; 3 children: Grace, Cecil and Stella.

4. James M. THOMPSON, of Elliston, was born in Nicholas County, Kentucky April 27, 1842; served with Humphrey MARSHALL in the Confederacy and, after the war, settled in Grant County; married Miss Julia ARNOLD, daughter of Rev. J. M. ARNOLD; they have 2 children: Marion A. and Carrie E.

Married on Thursday evening, March 28, at the home of W. C. WILLIAMS, at Mason - his daughter, Miss Bertha WILLIAMS, to James L. BURGESS, of Stewartsville, by Rev. E. F. HURD; will live near Stewartsville.

Lengthy tribute to Rosa Evangeline ANGEL WILBUR (by T. K. G.) who died last Saturday morning, June 1; was born at Pomeroy, Ohio, on December 22, 1868; moved with family on September 10, 1870 to Cincinnati where she lived for 20 years; was accomplished poetess; married January 1, 1892 to Warren A. WILBER at the 2nd Presbyterian Church in Cincinnati By Rev. CROUSE; her home was in Erlanger then; moved to "our town" [Williamstown?] where her children were born: Warren Angel (January 20, 1893) and George Robert (July 1, 1894); refers to "only brother" and "her sister". Funeral was held at Erlanger Sunday by Rev. HUEY; buried in Highland Cemetery.

In Memory of Laura ABERNATHY, youngest daughter of Chrisman and Mary ABERNATHY, died May 18, 1895; was born July  20, 1874; had lived with parents near Arnold's Creek, this county, since birth; leaves parents, 2 sisters and 5 brothers; funeral by the writer, Rev. Mrs. Mary E. JONES died at her home in Memphis, Tenn., May 29th. She was born in Boone County, Ky. 65 years ago and had 3 children, one brother, ex-postmaster, T. S. PORTER.

Johnnie LEMON, the adopted son of J. R. LEMON, after a lingering illness of consumption, died last week and his remains were interred in the cemetery at this place He was about 15 years old.

Dr. J. T. SCOTT and wife are rejoicing over the fact that their daughter, Mrs. Dr. George TUCKER, has presented them another grandson. The little fellow arrived Monday and weighed 7-1/2 pounds.

Mr. and Mrs. Henry L. BLANCHETT, of near Mt. Zion, celebrated the 55th anniversary of their marriage June 10. [He] was born in Madison, New Jersey, in 1818, and [she] was Caroline DUPUE, who was born in Switzerland in 1814. They were married in 1840 in New Jersey and moved to Grant County, Ky. during the same year, where they have lived ever since.

Master Wallace WOLFE has returned from a visit to his uncle, Joe VIOLETTE, of Crittenden, Ky.

Master Rich B. WAINWRIGHT, of New York City, is spending the summer with his cousin, J. B. O'NEAL.

Miss Mary LOWE, accompanied her sister, Mrs. Warren ELLISTON, to her home in Petersburg.

Willis CRABBE, son of Prof. CRABBE, former Principal of Williamstown Select High School, is visiting his aunt, Mrs. R. H. ELLISTON.

Emanuel WEBSTER, of near Crittenden, died at the home of his [--?], J. W. WEBSTER, last week. [He] was one of the oldest citizens of Grant County, at the time of his death being in his 85th year. He had lived nearly all of his life in this county. He raised quite a large family of children; several of his sons are still living in Grant.

Jeff WILLIAMS, of Dry Ridge, and Miss Ida HEARN, of this place, were married last Thursday afternoon by Rev. Wm. McMILLAN; he is a carpenter and son of Hiram WILLIAMS; bride is oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. E. HEARN, of this place; they took the north bound train for Richwood.

Last Saturday, the Cincinnati Enquirer, reports about "Plunger Doc" MARTIN or Dr. E. D. FRANK, who was born and raised at this place [Williamstown], being the eldest son of Dr. W. G. FRANK; his brother, Karl FRANK, and brother-in-law, W. C. JOHNSON went to Cincinnati to pick him up after losing a small fortune on race horses, he tried to end his life last night by taking a dose of morphine.

Marriage license has been issued for the marriage of Clarence LANDRUM, 20, and Miss Effie ADAMS, 19.

William POINTS, guardian of Mrs. George WILLIAMS BANNISTER, made a final settlement with the County Court last Tuesday.

Louis G. MYERS and Miss Icie INGRAM were married at the residence of William STEPHENS, this city, yesterday, by Rev. G. W. HILL; groom is stepson of our ex-county judge, C. C. CRAM.

News of the sad and horrible death of the youngest son of Dr. W. H. ROBINSON, of Corinth, reached here yesterday. While the northbound Q. & C. train was leaving the Corinth depot the boy attempted to leap upon the steps of one of the cars, and missing them, was thrown under the wheels and cut to pieces.

Doctors performed a very painful operation on Russell, the young son of Jesse CHIPMAN, Monday.

Robert F. WARE, of near town, went to Cincinnati to have an operation to remove a small cancer on his face, accompanied by his daughter and son-in-law, J. W. and Mrs. Josie SHIELDS.

Mr. Richard LEE, a prominent young lawyer of Frenchburg, Ky. and a brother of James L. LEE, of this place, is visiting his brother and father-in-law, D. S. CLAY. His wife and children are with him. Mr. LEE is a Grant County boy and is doing well in the mountains of Ky. He says that one of the most serious difficulties which confronts a lawyer in the mountain country is the disposition of many of his clients to pay their fees in cow skins and moonshine whiskey.

Death of Louis LUCAS, son of Manoah LUCAS, at his home in Dry Ridge, Tuesday from cancer of the bowels [2 months illness]; a young man doing well as a butcher and meat merchant.

In Memoriam - Nancy J. BLACKBURN died suddenly at her Sherman home, July 31, 1895; was born June 18, 1838; a daughter of Jacob HEDGER; November 29, 1859 she married Hon. R. J. BLACKBURN; survived by husband, 7 children (5 sons and 2 daughters); funeral preached by the writer and her pastor, Rev. G. W. HILL at the home Thursday, August 1, 1895; buried in Williamstown Cemetery.

A shot gun ends the life of R. A. DICKERSON. A. G. ELLISTON does the deadly work. In Elliston on Wednesday afternoon of last week; Uncle Jimmie D. ELLISTON died naturally that day also; R. A. DICKERSON was shot from the train by Dr. A. G. ELLISTON, of New Castle, Henry County, youngest son of Uncle Jimmie by his 2nd wife, who was a sister to Dr. William McGINNIS and John T. McGINNIS; formerly of Grant; DICKERSON was the son of William S. DICKERSON, who died about 12 months ago; his mother was a McGINNIS; the involved men were cousins; DICKERSON leaves a wife and child; buried in Williamstown Friday.

Obituary - Dr. Charles Dension LEWIS, of Dry Ridge was born in Windsor County, Vermont, June 6, 1817; his father was Dr. Joseph LEWIS, a revolutionary soldier, and his mother, Keturah DENISON, a descendant of George DENISON, a soldier in the army of CROMWELL; in 1847, he married Miss Caroline Matilda CANNON, who was born in Bourbon County, Ky. in 1825; 6 children: 4 living and 2 died in infancy.

Obituary - James D. ELLISTON ["Uncle Jimmie D"] died at his Elliston Station home, Wednesday afternoon, August 7, 1895; was oldest son and child of Robert ELLISTON deceased, and a brother of W. P. ELLISTON who died less than 1 year ago, was in 76th year being born December 4, 1819; married November 10, 1841 to Miss Ellen SPENCER, a daughter of prominent Gallatin County family; 5 children were born, 3 sons and 2 daughters; 2 survive, J. K. P. and G. M. D. ELLISTON; his wife died July 30, 1863; on February 26, 1866 he married Miss Judith Ann McGINNIS, a sister to John T. and Dr. I. W. McGINNIS, who both reside in New Castle, Ky.; 2nd wife died December 4, 1875, when his 2 little children, aged 7 and 5, were taken in by his wife's family; James' mother died in his early childhood; his death was barely 1 mile from where he was born. Lived with Mr. and Mrs. Smith COLLINS and 2 daughters who rendered him kind service; his brother, Hiram ELLISTON, lived in Williamstown; funeral was preached by his pastor, Rev. William McMILLAN at his home on August 18; his body taken to old Ten Mile and buried in the church yard by the side of his first wife and 3 of their children.

CRAM celebrated his 76th anniversary at his home south of town, with his sons, daughters, and friends; was born August 24, 1819, in Cohos Township, Niagara County, New York; his father moved to Ky. when he was a small child and settled near Independence, Kenton County; November 10, 1846 he married Miss Maria McDONALD; 11 children, 6 sons and 5 daughters; all living; one of Grant County's wealthiest citizens; his children present with their families: J. W. HIGHFIELD, Jacob RENAKER of Downingsville, Horace POOR of Doudton, A. B. JEWITT, George CRAM, Judge C. C. CRAM, Henry CRAM, E. T. CRAM, and Jesse McNAY; all children were present except Willard G. Jr., who lives in Ohio, and Dr. Charley D. of Paris, Ky.; a friend, Uncle Jordon HARRIS, 77, of Kenton County, and an aged cousin, Jordon CRAM, was there.

Miss Baydie R. FRANK, of Erlanger, visited her sister, Mrs. W. C. JOHNSON.

James A. O'HARA convicted of manslaughter [killed John GlACKING]; to serve 2 years in the penitentiary.

James A. O'HARA verdict overturned, due in part, to alleged disqualification of one juror, W. B. KELLEY [William B. KELLY, a maternal relation of your Abstractor]. [W. B. KELLY was a brother to Zachary Taylor KELLY and son of Jesse KELLY, the Abstractor's great and great, great grandfather, respectively.] Mr. KELLEY was fined $30. Another juror, Linneus KELLEY, was his nephew.

John ELLIOTT, of Cherry Grove, lost his little boy several days ago. The little fellow was a sufferer from a complication of diseases and the doctors could give him no relief. The remains of the child were interred in the cemetery at this place [Williamstown].

Dr. C. D. O'Hara, of Cincinnati, visited his brother, W.G. O'HARA.

Henry WHITE and wife, of Columbus, Ohio, visited his [her?] parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. CLAY.

Misses Katie and Virgie WHITE visited their sister, Mrs. Dr. ORR, at Erlanger.

Mr. and Mrs. A. H. MORROW and little daughter, Elsie, of Cincinnati..

On Tuesday evening the daughter of Millard GOUGE succumbed to typhoid fever. She had been a sufferer with the disease for quite a while and was convalescing when she ate some fruit and got a backset and died.

Died after years of suffering from consumption, Mrs. W. H. BEVERLY, at her home near town, Monday, September 2, aged 67 years; buried in the family burying ground on the Warsaw Road.

Two Dead,by an Operator's Blunder, Freight Trains Collide Head-End on the Southern, just north of Blanchet, Ky., at 11 o'clock Saturday night. Fireman George SLOSHER, 26, of McInerney's [boarding house] on Oak Street in Ludlow, was crushed to death. W. H. HENDRICKS, a tramp from Ft. Lodge, Kansas, also crushed to death and died on the train which was bringing him to Cincinnati for aid. Papers on him identified him as a blacksmith in search of work. SLOSHER later referred to as Frank, has relatives in Columbus, Ohio and Williamstown. --Cincinnati Enquirer.
