Grant County, Kentucky. I, Richard Lamdrum, of the County and State aforesaid being very weak and feeble in body, but of sound disposing mind and knowing that the future of man that I have to do I resign my body to the tomb and my soul to God who gave it to make this my last will and testimony. First I will that all my personal property be sold and all my debts paid and the proceeds shall there be any be applied to toward _____ my young children; second that my land to be equally divided among all my children as they become of age, John, Sally, Polly, Susanna, Wm. Lewis, Richard C., and George M. Landrum; after my beloved wife Elisabeth Landrum has the benefit of the one third of said land and I do hereby appoint Phillip Turner my lawful executor to this my will into signed in presence of us the day and date above written, B. S. Hensley, Robert Childres, M. Draper.  Signed Rachel (X his mark) Landrum.  No date.

State of Kentucky Grant County.
I, Wm. Smith, Clerk to the court for the county aforesaid, do certify that this will of Richard Landrum, deceased, was produced in court at the October Term 1841 and proven by the oaths of Robert Childers and B. S. Hensley, subscribing witnesses thereto and ordered to be recorded. Given under my hand this 11 day of October 1841.
