John Milton Arnold, born March 24, 1866, at Short Creek, KY, was the fourth son of Tilberry Miles and Elizabeth Pock Arnold, whose family history was reported on pages 10-11, in the December 25, 1997, issue of "Footsteps of the Past". John Milton united in marriage with Clara Isabel Blackburn of Gardnersville, KY, daughter of William Benjamin and Eliza Jane Gardner Blackburn, on December 11, 1890. To this union were born a daughter, Cora, who died at age 6, and a son, Harry Joseph, born January 19, 1893. John Milton died February 9, 1928, and Clara died on December 17, 1951, at Williamstown and both are buried in the Williamstown Cemetery.
Harry united in marriage on February 7, 1913, with Bonneda Beach Green, born January 28, 1894, daughter of Squire Edgar Kirtley and Sallie Beach Green, and to this union were born twin daughters, Dorothy, stillborn at birth, and Doris Josephine, on July 5, 1913. Bonnie died on May 20, 1961, at Erlanger, KY, and Harry died on December 3, 1961, at Walton, KY. They are also buried at Williamstown Cemetery.
Doris graduated from Williamstown High School in 1931 and married: 1) Clarence E. Snodgrass of Hazel Green, WVA, on August 22, 1931, at Falmouth, KY. A son, Gerald Duane, was born on October 7, 1932, who presently resides in Dallas, TX, and is unmarried. They divorced in 1935, and Doris married: 2) Ollie Dee Herrington, son of Rebecca Brooks and Russell Herrington of Brooksville, KY, on January 29, 1940, at Falmouth, KY.
To this union was born: 1) Twins - Bonita Faye and Donald Ray on December 11, 1940. 2) Brenda Ann on November 15, 1945, and 3) David Michael on January 22, 1951. Ollie Herrington died October 9, 1966, in Boone County and Doris followed him on July 31, 1988, at Florence, Kentucky. They are both also buried in the Williamstown Cemetery.
