Robert Brown
Robert Brown was born circa 1794 in Harrison County, Kentucky, the son of Samuel and Margaret Brown originally of Washington County, Pennsylvania. His father died in 1814 and Robert first appears on the Pendleton County tax list for 1815. In 1817, he married Martha, daughter of Edward Points in Switzerland County, Indiana. Robert last appears on the 1825 Grant County tax list and removed first to Morgan County, Illinois and then by 1830 to Schuyler County, Illinois where he died in 1858. His first wife, Martha Points, had died between 1840-43 in Schuyler County; Robert married second, Nancy Curry, in 1850 in Schuyler County but had no children by her. Robert was a veteran of the Mexican War.

1. Daughter born between 1817-1820; living 1830 census. Deceased or married by 1840.
2. Daughter born between 1817-1820 according to 1820 census; not on 1830 census.
3. Bryant Brown was born circa 1820 in Grant County, Kentucky. He married Lucy Thornhill, also a Grant County native, on June 16, 1846 in Fannin County, Texas. Last of Grayson County, Texas in 1870.
4. Alexander Hamilton Brown was born September 11, 1822 in Grant County, Kentucky. He married Martha Clayton on March 28, 1844 in Schuyler County, Illinois. Died 1901 in Summer County, Kansas; buried Harper City Cemetery in Harper County, Kansas.
5. America Brown was born circa 1827, probably in Morgan County, Illinois. She married Bradford Wilson, also a Grant County native, in 1843 in Schuyler County. She died there before 1857.
6. Male born between 1825-1830; probably the "little son" of Robert Brown who was the first child buried in the southwestern quarter of section 17; died 1835.
7. Greenberry Brown was born 1830 Illinois; married first, Elovina Pelsor, 1860 Schuyler County, Illinois. Died 1882 probably in Chariton County, Missouri.
8. Sydney Ann Brown as born 1832 in Schuyler County, Illinois. She married Josiah Aldrich in 1851 in Schuyler County and was deceased by 1858.
9. Alfred Brown was born April 15, 1835 in Schuyler County, Illinois. He married first, Mary C. Pelsor, 1858 Schuyler County; died 1917 Cheney, Sedgwick County, Kansas.
10. Martha Jane Brown was born September 6, 1837 in Schuyler County, Illinois; married John Wesley McEwen 1855 Schuyler County, Illinois; died 1925 Knox County, Missouri.
