In the name of God, I, Ann Brumback of the County of Grant and State of Kentucky calling to mind the uncertainty of life and certainty of death do constitute this my last will and testament in manner following, to wit: First I commend my soul to God who gave it and my body to be buried as my friends may direct and as touching my worldly concerns with which it has pleased God to bless me with, I leave to my son-in-law, George Norton, the sum of twenty dollars.

2nd. I leave to my granddaughter, Sally Ann Sechrest, the sum of seventy dollars.

3rd. I give and bequeath to Sally Buskirk ten dollars.

4th. I give and bequeath to my two granddaughter, Elizabeth Jane Wilson and Nancy Ann Wilson the sum of sixty dollars to be equally divided between them, that is thirty dollars to each, and all the balance of my estate of every description whatever I leave give and bequeath to my daughter Nancy Wilson and her children after the payment of all my just debts to be used by the said Nancy Wilson as she may wish for her and her children's benefit.

I also wish and desire that the seventy dollars above bequeathed to my granddaughter Sally Ann Sechrest be disposed of by her at her own discretion.

And lastly, I appoint Lewis Myers of Grant County to be executor of this my last will and testament. In witness my hand and seal this 11th day of June 1842, ____before signed with the words "after the payment of all my just debts."  Ann (X) Brumback.  Attest: James Martin, John Smith, Lewis Myers.

This last will and testament of Ann Brumback, deceased, was produced in court and proven by the oath of John Smith, whereupon the same was received and ordered to be recorded which is accordingly done.
