I, Griffin Carter, being weak in body but sound in mind do make this my
last will and testament. First, my farm on which I now live I desire to be
kept for the use of my wife and children until the youngest child becomes
of age and then sold and equally divided amongst all my children.
Second, I desire my wagon and such other property as will be necessary to pay all of my just debts to be sold on a credit of twelve months.
Third, I further desire that Wm. A. Haselwood be my executor to carry my will into effect. In witness whereof I hereunto set my hand and seal this 14th day of April 1855. Griffin (X) Carter. Attest: Wm. S. Woodyard, John C. Ferguson, Joseph H. Collins.

The foregoing will of Griffin Carter, deceased, was produced to court
at the term above stated and proven by the oaths of Wm. S. Woodyard, John
C. Furgeson, and Joseph H. Collins, attesting witnessses thereto now whereupon
the same and this certificate is duly admitted to record in my office given
under my hand this 6th of June 1855.
