In the name of God Amen, I, Elenor Cook, of the County of Grant being sick and weak in body, but of sound mind and disposing memory for which I thank God and calling to mind the uncertainty of human life and being desirous to dispose of all such worldly estate as it hath pleased God to bless me with, I give and bequeath the same in manner following, that is to say:

I give, after my funeral expenses is paid out of the perishable part of my property for thank God I owe no debts at this time, to my sister, Catherine Cook, my bay horse aged nine years, I also give unto the said Catherine Cook one feather bed and furniture, I also give unto her and her heirs, if she ever marries and has heirs, my lot or dowry of land which my father and mother now lives on in Grant County, Kentucky, on the road from Williamstown to New Liberty, eight miles from the former place, if she should die before she gets married the lot of dowry of land that I am entitled to must then be equally divided between my two youngest sisters, Margaret Cook and Nancy Cook.

Secondly, I give unto my sister, Margret Cook, one feather bed and bed clothes,

Thirdly, I give unto Nancy Cook, my sister, one black    (sentence apparently not finished)

Fourthly, I give to my youngest brother, Peter J. Cook, one  wheat ?

Fifthly, I give unto Katherine Cook, Margaret Cook, and Nancy Cook, my sisters, all my hogs, sheep, and cattle to have and to hold as long as they live together at home with my father and mother, and if either of them should get married they must be equally divided into three parts, and,

Lastly, I do hereby constitute and appoint my father, William Cook, executor of this my last will and testament. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed by seal this ? day of March in the year of Our Lord, 1852.   Elenor Cook.

Signed sealed and declared as the last will and testament of the above Elenor Cook, in the presence of us: D. M. Green, F. C. Gaugh, Edward Bowman.

Grant County Court May Term 1852.
I, H. Woodyard, Clerk of the county court for the county aforesaid do certify that the foregoing will of Elenor Cook was produced in open court at the term above, proved by the oaths of D. M. Green and F. C. Gaugh, two subscribing witnesses thereunto which was received by the court and ordered to be recorded, which is duly admitted to record in my office May 16, 1852.
