385 In the name of God, I, Daniel Cowgill of the State of Kentucky and County of Grant do make and publish my last will and testament in the manner following, that is to say it is my will and I do hereby direct that all my just debts and funeral expenses shall be paid by my executors herein after named as soon after my decease as the completion of my estate will allow, of first that I have given my first wife's children as much as I intend them to have of my estate, to wit, Joseph Cowgill, Martin Cowgill, Nancy Cowgill my children. The balance of my estate after paying off the above named item both real and personal I will to my second wife's children, I will and order it should be sold by my executors and the proceeds equally divided among the said children after the said executors is paid for their trouble and expense if any, to wit, my daughter Elizabeth, Sarah Hannah and George and Frankey my children and the heirs of Mary my daughter. I now direct and give an equal portion to each of the above named children. I do hereby appoint and authorize George Cowgill and John Brown my executors to sell and convey all my estate to the best advantage for said estate and I do acknowledge this to be my last will and testament. I have hereunto set my hand and seal for witness whereof this 28th day of August in the year of our Lord 1842. Daniel (X) Cowgill.
