In the name of God Amen. I, Walter Douds of the County of Grant and State of Kentucky being sick and weak in body but of sound mind and disposing memory for which I thank God and calling to mind the uncertainty of human life and being desirous to dispose of all such worldly estate as it has pleased God to bless me with, I give and bequeath the same in the manner following, that is to say,

1st. I desire that all the perishable part of my estate together with all the goods and chattels be immediately sold after my decease and out of the moneys arising therefrom all my just debts and funeral expenses be paid, after my debts be paid out of the proceeds of the sale, should there be any money left, I desire that it be equally divided among my several children.

2nd. I give to my two sons, George Douds and Walter Douds, my farm on which I now reside together with the land which I purchased from Adison Carlisle, provided they comply with the following conditions, to take good care of and provide for my youngest son, Lorensa Douds, until he is eighteen years old and pay him three hundred dollars when he is twenty-one years old - to pay my son, John Douds, one hundred dollars in twelve months from the twenty-fifth of December next - to pay my son Woodford Douds five dollars in one year from the twenty-fifth of December next. To pay my son, Ferdinand Douds, two hundred dollars when he is twenty-one years old. My desire next is that should either of my sons die without any heirs that their portion herein mentioned be equally divided among my children except my son Woodford Douds, and lastly,

I do hereby constitute and appoint my friend ,Tilfred Medcalf and my son, George Douds, executors of this my last will and testament, hereby revoking all former wills and testaments by me heretofore made. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this the 26th day of November 1851. Walter Douds.

Signed, sealed, published and declared as and for the last will and testament of the above named, Walter Douds, in presence of us, Edmonsy (X) Brown, T. Medcalf, F. S. Watkins.

Grant County Court January Term 1852.
I, H. Woodyard, clerk of the county court for the county aforesaid do certify that his last will and testament of Walter Douds, deceased, was produced in open court at the term above stated and proved by the oaths of Edmonsy Brown and F. S. Watkins, two subscribing witnesses thereto which was ordered to be recorded whereupon the same is duly admitted to record in my office. Given under my hand the 12th of February 1852. H. Woodyard, Clerk.
