In the name of God Amen. I, Richard Falkner of the County of Grant and
State of Kentucky being aged and infirm but of sound mind and disposing memory
and calling to mind the uncertainty of human life and being desirous to dispose
of all such worldly estate which pleased God to bless me with and my desire
is to give my soul to God who gave it and that my body be decently buried
and all my just debts and funeral expenses paid.
Item 1. I give and bequeath to my beloved wife, Lyda Faulkner, all my personal property after my just debts is paid.
Item 2. I give and bequeath to my son, Owen, fifty acres of land which he has already got worth one hundred dollars and a colt worth ten dollars.
Item 3, I give and bequeath to my beloved son, John, twenty five acres of land which he holds my bond for the use and benefit of his family but not for him to sell or liable to pay any of his debts, also a colt worth twenty dollars, the land worth one hundred dolls which he has already got.
Item 4. I give to my beloved son, James Faulkner, thirty eight or nine acres of land which he has already got worth one hundred dollars.
Item 5. I give and bequeath to my granddaughter, Elizabeth Wells, one dollar.
Item 6. I give and bequeath to my granddaughter, Polly Rader, five dollars.
Item 7. I give and bequeath to my grands, Richard E. Crammer and John (no surname given) the sum of one dollar.
Item 8. to my granddaughter, Mary Jane Overstake, one dollar.
Item 9. I give and bequeath to my grandchildren James Faulkner, Owen Faulkner, John Faulkner, Zachariah Faulkner, Nancy Faulkner and Richard Faulkner, children of Thomas Faulkner, deceased, one dollar.
Item 10. I give and bequeath to my daughter, Nancy Harrison, fifty dollars.
Item 11. I give to my beloved wife, Lyda Falkner, all my land during her natural life except the mill which I desire shall be sold on a reasonable credit. My will and desire is that after the death of my beloved wife that my son, Jordan Falkner, have all the land which is willed to her provided however that he provides well for her and that she likes for nothing and he keeps from dissipation and that the said Jordan is not to sell nor be taken for his debts. I leave Jordan Falkner my executor to carry this will into effect.

The foregoing will of Richard Falkner was produced in open court at the
term above stated and proven by the oaths of T. T. Thompson, Elijah Chiles
and John Coulson, subscribing witnesses thereto which is admitted to record
