Mrs.
George Franks
Mrs. George Franks of Mt. Zion was yesterday afternoon going from the store to her home when the storm came up. A bolt of lightning struck and killed her and the horse. The saddle was burned to a crisp. About Stewartsville the storm raged furiously, houses, trees, fences and crops succumbed to the blast. One house near Stewartsville was blown down, killing the father and two children. Our informant, Mr. W. A. Hume, agent of the CSRR at Sherman was unable to learn the name of the unfortunate man.
