James Francis Green

James Francis Green, son of Robert F. and Sarah Ford Green, was born August 5, 1821 in Grant County, Kentucky and died June 13, 1889 in Grant County. He married Delcenia Hendrix December 22, 1844 in Grant County, Kentucky, daughter of William Hendrix and Katherine Hart. She was born April 21, 1828 in Blount County, Tennessee, and died June 17, 1850 in Grant County, Kentucky. After her death, he married Mrs. Emerine (Merrell/Merrill) Lillard, (widow of William Campbell Lillard) in 1858 in Gallatin County, Kentucky, daughter of John Merrill and Mildred Kirtley. She was born September 6, 1829 in Boone County, Kentucky and died September 24, 1910 in Grant County, Kentucky. James and Emerine are buried in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Grant County, Kentucky.

Children of James and Delcenia:
(1) Sarah Katherine Green, born October 1846, married Granville Brock. They were the parents of (a) Ona Brock, born December 2, 1867 in Owen County, Kentucky, died 1969, married Robert C. Greene, (b) Bonneda Brock and, (c) Charles Brock.
(2) Mary Frances Green, born 1848 in Grant County, Kentucky, died 1849 in Grant County. She is buried in McBee Cemetery, Grant County, Kentucky.

Children of James and Emerine:
(3) Edgar Kirtley Green was born December 6, 1859 in Grant County, Kentucky and died April 24, 1943 in Grant County, Kentucky. He married Sarah Iva Beach October 21, 1885 in Kenton County, Kentucky, daughter of Addison Beach and Mary Franks. She was born September 1, 1866 in Grant County and died March 30, 1919 in Grant County, Kentucky. They are buried in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Grant County, Kentucky. Their children:
(a) Jessie Lee Green was born August 13, 1886 in Grant County, Kentucky and died August 31, 1952 in Campbell County, Kentucky. She married Charles Sicker in 1910, son of Adam Sicker and Anna Falkomreck. He was born April 26, 1888 in Hamilton County, Ohio and died December 26, 1967 in Walnut Hills, Hamilton County, Ohio. He is buried in Walnut Hills Cemetery, Hamilton County, Ohio. She is buried in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Grant County, Kentucky.
(b) Edna Earl Green was born February 6, 1888 in Grant County, kentucky and died September 6, 1968 in Lexington, Fayette County, Kentucky. She married Robert Finis Heathman August 5, 1909 in Kenton County, Kentucky. He died December 20, 1940 in Fayette County, Kentucky. Edna and Robert are buried in Maple Grove Cemetery in Jessamine County, Kentucky.
(c) William Kirtley Green was born November 23, 1889 in Grant County, Kentucky and died September 9, 1974 in Kenton County, Kentucky. He married Sallie Violet Carlton November 2, 1916 in Kenton County, daughter of Robert Carlton and Maud Bennett. She was born March 30, 1896 in Grant County, Kentucky and died October 10, 1964 in Kenton County, Kentucky. They are buried in Independence Cemetery, Kenton County, Kentucky.
(d) James Russell Green was born September 28, 1891 in Grant County, Kentucky and died September 3, 1894 in Grant County. He is buried in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Grant County, Kentucky.
(e) Bonneda Beach Green, born January 18, 1894 in Grant County, Kentucky, died May 20, 1961 in Kenton County, Kentucky. She married Harry Joseph Arnold February 7, 1913 in Campbell County, Kentucky, son of John M. Arnold. He was born 1893 in Pendleton County, Kentucky and died December 3, 1961 in Boone County, Kentucky. They were the parents of twin girls, Dorothy (stillborn) and Doris. Doris married Clarence Snodgrass in 1931,but later divorced. She married second, Ollie Herrington, January 29, 1940 in Pendleton County, Kentucky. Doris died July 31, 1988 in Boone County, Kentucky and is buried in Williamstown Cemetery, Grant County, Kentucky. Harry and Bonneda Arnold are also buried in Williamstown Cemetery in Grant County, Kentucky.
(f) Edgar Warren Green was born April 29, 1986 in Grant County, Kentucky and died December 25, 1896 in Grant County. He is buried in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Grant County, Kentucky.
(4) Emmett Green was born December 9, 1861 in Grant County, Kentucky, died May 27, 1901 in Grant County, and is buried in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Grant County, Kentucky.
(5) James W. Green was born September 11, 1864 in Grant County, Kentucky and died November 9, 1940 in Grant County. He married Ella May Beach February 13, 1894 in Grant County. She was born January 31, 1871 and died November 7, 1934. They are buried in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Grant County, Kentucky.
(6) Annie Green was born September 3, 1868 in Grant County, Kentucky and died November 12, 1957 in Grant County. She married Dr. George Washington Ferril April 24, 1890. He was born September 1, 1866 and died October 9, 1899. They were the parents of two daughters: Mabel and Lillian Ferril. She married second,Solon Anderson. He was born in 1860 and died 1924 in Grant County, Kentucky. They had a son, Charles F. Anderson,born September 3, 1903, died October 3, 1915, buried in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Grant County, Kentucky. Annie and husbands are also buried in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
(7) Elijah Arthur Green was born July 29, 1873 in Grant County, Kentucky and died June 4, 1959 in Grant County. He married Cora L. Sechrist March 20, 1894 in Kenton County, Kentucky. She was born February 19, 1875 and died March 17, 1947. They are buried in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Grant County, Kentucky.
