I, Richard Lucas, being of sound mind but weak of body and knowing that
it is appointed unto all men once to die, in the name of God do make and
publish this my my last will and testament.
Item 1. I will that all my just debts be paid.
Item 2. I will to my wife, Sarah Lucas, one third of the house and the lots adjoining thereto on which I now live, situated in the town of Williamstown, during her life and also one third of my personal estate in fee?.
Item 3. I will that after the death of my said wife her interest in the real estate above named shall be equally divided between my five children, viz: Manoah, Judah Wickliffe, Prudence Thompson, and Squire Lucas (only four named unless Judah and Wickliffe are two separate children).
Item 4. I will the residue of my property consisting of personal estate and _____ and one house and lot situated in the town of Williamstown in which John Ogle now lives, and one three acre lot situated adjoining said town on the road to Cynthiana, be equally divided between my five children above named.
Item 5. I will and hereby appoint my son, Squire Lucas, of Grant County my executor and desire that no security shall be required of him. Given under my hand this 30th day of November 1846. Richard Lucas. Witnesses: Victor Monroe, M. Burnett, S. Marksberry.

December Term 1846.
This last will and testament of Richard Lucas was produced in open court
at the term above stated and proven by the oaths of ______ and S. Marksberry
subscribing witnesses therefore to be the act and deed of the said Lucas
and thereupon the same was ordered to be recorded, whereupon the same is
duly admitted to and in my office this 15th day of December 1846. Attest
