In the name of God Amen, I William T. McCan of the County of Grant and State of Kentucky being sick and and of sound mind and disposed to memory to which I thank God and calling to mind the uncertainty of human life and being desirous to dispose of all such worldly estate as it hath pleased God to bless me with, I give and bequeath the same in manner following, that is to say first it is my desire that all my just debts and funeral expenses should be paid.

I give and bequeath unto my dear and beloved friend William Crook all my notes and accounts to him and for his use and benefit forever and also one silver watch and all my books and instruments to him the said Crook forever and lastly. I do hereby constitute and appoint William Crook and also Vallandingham executors of this my last will and testament hereby revoking all other or former wills or testaments by me heretofore made in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this 24th day of April in the year of our Lord 1828.  Wm. Signed sealed and declared as and for the will and testament of the above named William T. McCann in presence of us. Daniel Harrison, Samuel F. Singleton.

State of Kentucky Grant County June Court 1828.
This last will and testament of Wm. T. McCan, dec'd, was produced to the court and proved by the oaths of Daniel Harrison one of the subscribing witnesses thereto and further that he saw Samuel F. Singleton the other subscribing witness sign his name to the same in the presence of the testator which is ordered to be recorded. Attest: H. B. Smith, CGCC.
