William Pierce, deceased, who departed this life on the 26th day January 1827 stated a few days before his death and during his last illness, that it was his wish and will that his son James Pierce should have hold and possess the two mares, one a bay and the other a black, generally called his, forever to dispose of as his own discretion might direct him and further that the said William Pierce, de'd, at the same time stated and said that it was his wish and will that his daughter Martha Pierce should have and possess a certain sorrel colt, it being the only colt he had as her own property forever to act and dispose of as she might think proper to do so.

This Noncupative will of Wm. Pierce, dec'd, was produced in court and proved by the oaths of John Childres and Margaret Pierce and ordered to be recorded. Att: H. B. Smith, CGCC.
