In the name of God Amen. I Leah Rich of the county of Grant and State
of Kentucky being sick and weak in body but of sound mind and disposing memory
for which I thank God and calling to mind the uncertainty of human life and
being desirous to dispose of such worldly estate as was left to me by my
husband, Samuel Rich, _____ in the fifth section of his will, to
wit,
This Black woman, Sarah, and her youngest daughter, Clara, also Louisa the youngest child of said Sarah which has been born since said Sarah has been in my possession, I give and bequeath this same in manner following, that is to say,
First, I desire that my Black woman, Sarah, should be freed at my death.
Second, I desire that my servants, Clara and Louisa, the children of said Sarah be given to their mother until her death when I wish them to be disposed of in the same manner as has been the slaves of my husband in his will providing said Clara and Louisa are less thirty years of age at the death of their mother, Sarah, and lastly,
I do hereby constitute and appoint my son, Wm. J. Rich, administrator of this my last will and testament hereby revoking all other wills and testaments by me heretofore made. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this 18th day of April 1850. Leah Rich.

14, 1850.
This last will and testament of Leah Rich, dec'd, was produced in
open court at the October term on the day aforesaid and proven by the oaths
of Johnathan C. Webster and W. W. Henderson and ordered to be recorded whereupon
the same is duly recorded in my office. W. Smith, Clerk, by E. H. Smith,
Deputy Clerk.
