The following are said to be buried here or believed to be buried here by obituaries and family records.
| Morgan J. Simpson departed this life, August 27, 1900 after a lingering seventeen months, aged 71 years, 6 months, and 22 days. He united with the Methodist Church South in 1852. His wife and daughter, Annie, preceded him in death. He leaves three sons, six daughters, and several grandchildren to morn his death. His funeral was preached at Dry Ridge Methodist Church and his remains were buried in the family burying ground at Salem. |
Robert Vance, and old and honored citizen of the Stewartsville neighborhood, died at the home of his widowed daughter, Mrs. Jennie Hoffman in Dry Ridge Sunday night, February 15, 1908 and was buried at Salem, near Stewartsville. He wanted but a few days of being 81 years old. His wife, who had been dead for several years was a Miss Gaugh, a sister to John W. Gaugh, near Stewartsville. R. W. Vance and J. F. Vance are his sons. |
