EXplanation of relationships in the
Bible.
Revised
2003 by Virginia Loomis.
Page 1: Witnesses Salina and W. S. CHRISMAN are the sister and
brother-in-law of Anna (CHRISMAN) MAY.
J. D. BENNETT may be another brother-in-law to Anna. Her sister, Sarah,
did marry a James D. BENNETT.
Mary T. STEWART is a sister to W. W. Sallee.
Reverse of Page 1: Wm. S. MORGAN is sister of Sarah (MAY) and
Wm. Henry MORGAN. Sarah MAY was daughter of
Anna (CHRISMAN) and Caleb MAY. William H. MORGAN was son of
Alamanda/Almeda (BEVERLY) and Alfred MORGAN.
George Harold and Grace Mae PETTIT are children of George Arthur
PETTIT
and Anna Belle MORGAN, daughter of Wm. Henry.
Page 2: George A. PETTIT was the son of Mary Jane (HAMBRICK) and Wm.
Amos PETTIT.
The seven PETTITs are children of G. A. and Anna Belle (MORGAN)
PETTIT.
Reverse of Page 3: I have researched the SALLEE family only minimally
but now (2003) know that Nancy
was a second wife. She was Nancy (THORNHILL) BAIRD/BEARD at her marriage
to Benjamin in
Harrison County in 1817. Benjamin's children as named in his will
are sons Henry and William,
and daughters Melvina (think this is an error by abstractor of will),
Polly T., and Caty.
William W. SALLEE was the second husband of Anna (CHRISMAN) MAY. Luke
and Alcy CHRISMAN
are her parents; Sarah MAY is her daughter. Sarah (MAY) and William
Henry MORGAN are the parents
of Anna Belle, Wm. S., and Eva MORGAN. George Arthur PETTIT was the
husband of Anna Belle MORGAN.
Nannie A. REED is a first cousin once removed to Wm. W. SALLEE. His
mother was Nancy THORNHILL,
a sister to Lucy/Lucinda THORNHILL, who married Thos. C. CHILDERS
and whose daughter Elizabeth
(W. W.'s first cousin) married a REED and had Nanny.
