I, Daniel Seward of the County of Grant and State of Kentucky being weak in body but of sound and perfect mind and memory, blessed be God for the same and knowing the uncertainty of life do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form following (to wit) for after my general expenses and other debts (if any) are paid I will and bequeath unto my beloved wife Lucyndia Seward all my estate both real and personal that is to say the farm on which I now live and all the personal property of any kind whatsoever for the purpose of supporting herself and children for and during her widowhood, but should she marry after my decease I will that she is to have but the one-third part of said estate aforesaid and the remaining two-thirds to descend to my children, Elliott Sewards, Perry T. Sewards, Joana Sewards, Tully, Josephine, John, Olive(r) Sewards, to be divided between them equally to their use benefit and their heirs and assigns forever and I further order that my wife Lucyndia Seward be sole executioner of this my last will and testament, hereby revoking all former wills by me made in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this first day of October 1831. Daniel Sewards. Signed sealed published and declared by the above named Seward to be his last will and testament in the presence of us N. Henderson, Isaac Lyttle.

This last will and testament of Daniel Seward, dec'd, was produced and proved in open court by the oaths of N. Henderson and Isaac Little in full and ordered to be recorded. Attest: H. B. Smith CGCC.
