369 In the name of God Amen. I, John Skirvin Sr. of Grant County and State of Kentucky being weak in body but of sound and disposing memory for which I thank God, and calling to mind the uncertainty of human life and being desirous to dispense of all such worldly estate as it hath pleased God to bless me with I give and bequeath the same in manner following, that is to say, I desire out of my pursuant property that all of my just debts shall first be paid and after all my just debts are paid, I give unto my wife Mary Ann all the balance of estate both real and personal for and during the term of her natural lifetime and after her decease, I give the same to my children equally to be divided among them and to be enjoyed by them forever and lastly I desire that my sons Clayton and Absolum Skirvin shall take charge of my wife Mary Ann and see that she is well taken care of during her natural life and see to all my matters and things which may be necessary to the comfort of my said wife and after her decease to see that the remainder of my estate be equally divided among all my children as above stated in testimony whereof, I, John Skirvin Sr. has hereunto set my hand and seal this 24th day of October 1828.
