In the name of God Amen. I Prior Theobald of the County of Grant and State of Kentucky being weak in body but of sound mind and memory blessed be Almighty God for the same, do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form following (that is to say),

First, I give and bequeath unto my sister Mary Thomas' children all the benefit of a note which I hold on my father for two hundred and five dollars, the money I leave for Hezekiah Thomas to collect and make use of until his children come of age or until such time as he may think most advantageous for them to have it.

I also give and bequeath all the balance of my property unto my brothers Moses Theobald, Sam'l Theobald, John P. Theobald, William Theobald and Nathaniel J. Theobald to be equally divided between them after paying off my just debts. I also give Mary Thomas eleven dollars for services rendered.

I also appoint my brother John P. Theobald my sole executor of this my last will and testament, hereby revoking all former wills by me made. In witness whereof I have hereto set my hand and seal this 4th day of September in the year of our Lord 1827. Prior Theobald.

Signed sealed published and delivered by the above named Prior Theobald to be his last will and testament in the presence of us who have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses in the present of the testor. Charles Ruddell, George Ruddell.

This last will and testament of Prior Theobald, dec'd, was produced in court and proved by the oaths of Charles Ruddell and George Ruddell the two subscribing witnesses thereto and order to be recorded: Att: H. B. Smith, CGCC.
