Jeremiah Wilson, was nearly 74 years of age in 1832. The names of his parents are not mentioned. In 1853 Benjamin Wilson of Woodford County, Kentucky stated that he was one of the children of Jeremiah Wilson, then deceased. There is no further family data. Jeremiah Wilson was a resident of Loudon County, Virginia at enlistment. In 1832 he was living in Woodford County, Kentucky. The date and place of his death is not given. When he applied for pension, he stated that he entered the service in 1777 and served at various times during the Revolutionary War, amounting to 14 months, as Private with the Virginia Troops under Captains Hedges and Peyton and Colonels Jesse Ewell and William Heath. He also stated that he was in the battle of Monmouth. Jeremiah Wilson was pensioned on Certificate 834, which was issued under the Act of June 7, 1832. The pension was paid at the Kentucky Agency.
