In the name of God Amen. I, John Zinn of the County of Grant and State of Kentucky being sick and weak in body, but of sound mind and disposing memory which I thank God and calling to mind the uncertainty of human life and being desirous to dispose of all such worldly estate as it hath pleased God to bless me with, I give and bequeath the same in manner following, that is to say,

1st. I desire that all my just debts and funeral expenses to paid out of my perishable property.

2nd. I desire that the orchard meadow and all the land that my son William Zinn cleared, that he hold the same rent free till my grandson John P. Harrison is twenty one years old, should the said John P. Harrison live to that age.

3rd. I desire that the balance of my farm be rented out till my grandson John P. Harrison arrives to the age of twenty-one years and the rent to be divided between my four heirs. One-half to William Zinn, the other half to be equally divided between Rebecca Taylor, Joseph Zinn and John P. Harrison, the portion that may fall due annually to the said Harrison or so much thereof as may be sufficient to complete his education provided that the said Harrison should live to have heirs, and if he should die without heirs then and in that case all his portion both real and personal that fall due to him from this will be equally divided between my five lawful heirs, Rebecca Taylor, Joseph Zinn, Sarah Hazelwood, Hiram Zinn and William Zinn.

4th. I desire that my land be divided between by four heirs when John P. Harrison arrives to the age of twenty one years in the following manner, that is to say, one half to my son William Zinn, the other half to be equally divided between my daughter, Rebecca Taylor, my son, Joseph Zinn, and my grandson, John P. Harrison.

5th. I desire that my ___ and all the gear belonging to the same to my two granddaughters Harriett and Louisiana Haselwood.

6th. I give to my granddaughter Elizabeth Taylor the side saddle I bought for my daughter, Mary, deceased.

7th. I give my rifle gun to my grandson, John P. Harrison.

8th. I give _____ to my daughter Haselwood.

9th. I give one horse worth fifty dollars to grandson John P. Harrison.

10th. I desire that after my debts and funeral expenses are paid and then gifts above are taken out the balance of my personal property be equally divided between my six lawful heirs, that is to say, my daughter Rebecca Taylor, my son, Joseph Zinn, my son, Hiram Zinn, my daughter, Sarah Haselwood, my son, William Zinn, and my grandson, John P. Harrison. Should the said Harrison die possessed with heirs and if he should die without heirs, then at his death to my five children above mentioned.

11th. I do hereby constitute and appoint my friends, William A. Haselwood and Joseph Zinn executors of this my last will and testament, hereby revoking all other or former wills or testaments by me heretofore made. In witness whereof i have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this 21st day of June 1841. John (X) Zinn. Commonwealth of Kentucky Grant County Court May Term 1847.
This last will and testament of John Zinn, deceased, was produced in court on the 10th day of May 1847 and proven by the oaths of John Church and Wesley Porter, the subscribing witnesses, thereto to be the act and deed of the said Zinn and ordered to be recorded. Whereupon said will is duly admitted to record in my office this 5th day of July 1847. William Smith, Clerk.
