Will of Albin G. Calmes


Last Will
By the terms of this my last will and testament written in my own handwriting, I, Albin G. CALMES, T3423, of Lee County, State of kentucky, now in the Active Military Service, hereby give, devise and bequeath unto Bulah M. CALMES, whose address is Evelyn, Kentucky, all property owned by me of which I may die Seized and possessed of, wheresoever the same may be Situated and of of [sic] whatsoever the same may consist.  I hereby revoke all prior wills and codicils made by me at any time heretofore.

Witness my hand at Harding Field, Baton Rouge, Louisiana this 11th day of May, 1944, in the Presence of the persons whose names appear below my Signature and whom I have requested to act as attesting witnesses.

The above instrument was now here subscribed by teh testator in our presence, and we, at his request, in his presence, and in the presence of each other, Sign our names hereto as attesting witnesses the day and date last above written.

I, Elizabeth M. SIPPLE, Clerk Lee County Court do hereby certify that the foregoing Last Will and Testament of Alben G. CALMES, having been filed in County Court on the 31st day of July, 1945, and same having been proven by the testimony of Dixie RYANT and Elbert ANGEL, two credible and disinterested witnesses, to be entirely in the handwriting of the said Alben G. CALMES, and that the Alben G. CALMES, was a citizen and resident of Lee County, Kentucky over the age of twenty-one years and that the attesting witnesses to said Last Will and Testament are all members of the Armed Forces of the United States and on active duty, and are unavailable to prove said instrument and its execution, the said instrument of writing was adjudged to be the Last Will and Testament of the said Alben G. CALMES, deceased, and admitted to probate as such Last Will and Testament and ordered to record;  whereupon the same with the foregoing and this my certificate have been duly recorded in my said office in Will Book No. 1, page 465. [sic]
