Will of G. A. Bailey


Last Will and Testament

I, G. A. BAILEY, of Beattyville, Kentucky, being of full age and, cound of mind and memory, do make publish and declare this to be my last will and testament, hereby revoking all wills by me heretofore made.

I direct that my funeral expenses be paid out of my estate as soon as practicable after the time of my death.

I bequeath to my wife, Druzilla BAILEY and Lafayette Bailey NOE, jointly, all of my personal property of every kind and character.

I bequeath to my said wife, Druzilla BAILEY, a one-twelfth interest in what is known as the Laura Belle Bailey tract of land on the South Fork of the Kentucky river, and to my grandson Lafayette Bailey Noe, a two-twelfths interest in said tract of land above referred to, which three-twelfths hereby bequeathed was inherited by me from my three children to-wit:  Mary BAILEY, Herbert BAILEY and Samuel BAILEY, each of whom were heirs at law of my former wife Laura Belle BAILEY, deceased, and all of whom died intestate and without issue.

The other remaining children of mine and the heirs of my wife, Laura Belle BAILEY, have their interest in said land, and have been provided fro.

Signed, sealed and delivered in the presence of the undersigned witnesses, and signed by me in their presence, and signed and witnesses by the undersigned and in the presence of the said G.A. BAILEY and at her request This November 13th, 1936.

I, Elizabeth MATTOCKS, Clerk Lee Couty Court, do hereby certify that the foregoing Last Will and Testement of G. A. BAILEY, deceased, was on this day produced and filed in open Court, and proven by the testimony of Malcom BRANDENBURG, one of the subscribing witnesses thereto, to be the said Last will and testament of G. A. BAILEY, deceased;  whereupon the same with the foregoing and this my certificate have been duly recorded in my said office in Will Book No. 1, Page 370.
Given under my hand, this October 10, 1938.
