Will of Henry T. Shoemaker

Know All Men By These Presents:
That I, Henry T. SHOEMAKER, of Fincastle, Lee County Kentucky, being of sound mind and disposing memory and realizing the uncertanity [sic] of life, do make and establish this my Last Will and Testament.

First:  I desire that all my just debts and funeral expenses be paid.

Second:  I will and bequeath to my daughter, Pearl SHOEMAKER the sum of Two Hundred Dollars as her full share of my estate and this sum is to be realized from any money or personal property I may have at the time of my death after paying my debts and funeral expenses, but if I have no personal property or not enough to satisfy this bequest, some of my real estate must be sold to pay same or any of my hereinafter named legatees amy pay same and be substituted to her rights.

Third:  I will and bequeath the remainder of my property both real personal and mixed, wherever situated to my six sons, Troy SHOEMAKER, Frank SHOEMAKER, Cash SHOEMAKER, Dorsey SHOEMAKER, Asa SHOEMAKER and Albert SHOEMAKER share and share alike.

I hereby constitute and appoint Millard CABLE as Executor of this my Last Will and Testament for the purpose of carrying the same into effect.

In Testimoney Whereof:  I have signed the same in the presence of the undersigned witnesses and acknowledge and deliver the same as my Last Will and Testament and the said witnesses have signed the same at my request and I signed same in their presence and they signed same as witnesses in my presence.  This June 18, 1921

We the undersigned residing at the addresses herein set out do certify that we have this day signed our names as witnesses to the above writing which is declared by the Testator Henry T. SHOEMAKER to be his Last Will and Testament:  that he signed same in our presence and that we subscribed our names to same as witnesses in his presence and in the presence of each other.  This June 18, 1921

I, W. O. BRADLEY Clerk of the Lee County Court, certify that the foregoing Will and Testament of Henry T. SHOEMAKER, deceased, was filed in the office of the County Court Clerk on the 14th day of August 1922 and ordered to lay over thirty days for exceptions, and none having been taken same was ordered to record at the Regular 13th day of September Term, 1922, which is now done accordingly.
Given under my hand this the 4th day of November, 1922
