Lee County Kentucky Wills

Will of John R. Chambers

I John R. CHAMBERS, of the County of Lee and State of Kentucky, being aware of the uncertainty of life and in failing health but of sound mind and memory do make and declare this to be my last will and testament in manner following to wit:
First, I give bequeath and devise my wife and two youngest children J. J. CHAMBERS and Archelaus B. CHAMBERS all the land in my possession not deeded to my other heirs, on Frailey's Creek, also all the stock, consisting of Horses, Cattle and sheep now in my possession, also all the crops now on hand, also all debts due to me, also all farming implement, and house furniture and Kitchen Utensils.  And Lastly, I desire that my wife and two youngest children shall pay all my funeral expenses and all claims tha my come against my estate.
In witness whereof, I John R. CHAMBERS to this my last will and testament, have hereunto set my hand and Seal this 6th day of December 1893.

I G. W. CANN Clerk of the Lee County Court hereby certify that the foregoing will of John R. CHAMBERS, deceased was on the 28th? day of Nov. 1898, produced in open Court and offered for probate and filed and ordered to be recorded.  Whereupon the same together with this my certificate, have been this day duly recorded in my said office.
Given under my hand this 29th day of Nov. 1898
