Will of Lena Beatty


I, Lena BEATTY of Beattyville, Ky., being of sound mind and disposing memory, do make this my last will and testiment.  

First, I will that all my just debts including funeral expenses be paid.

Second, I will and devise to my brother, Harlen T. BEATTY, and to my sister Lula B. BLAKEY, all my estate of every description, real, personal, and mixed, to be held, used, and enjoyed by both of them jointly, so long as they, or either of them shall live.

Third, in case either of them shall die without issue, my entire estate shall go to the other on to his or her issue.

This will is wholly written by me in my own handwriting.

With Witness my hand this January 4th 1915

I, Elizabeth MATTOCKS, Clerk Lee Count Court do hereby certify that the foregoing Will of Lena BEATTY, deceased, having been produced and filed in open Court on April 5, 1944, and having been proven by the Court to be the last Will and Testiment of the said Lena BEATTY, deceased, and same is ordered to be recorded, whereupon the same with the foregoing and this my certificate have been duly recorded in my said office in Will Book No. 1, page 479.
