Will of Nancy Barnett Couch


Last Will and Testament of Nancy COUCH

I, Nancy COUCH, of Beattyville, Lee County, Kentucky, being of full age and of sound mind and memory, do make publish and declare this to be my last will and testament and being the only one ever made by me.

1.  I direct that all my just debts and funeral expenses be paid out of my estate as soon after my demise as it is possible to do so, and after same is proven according to law.

2.  I give and bequeath to my daughter Tammery M. HALL of Route #5, Lexington, Kentucky, and to Leslie L. COUCH, my son, (after my debts and funeral expenses are paid as above provided) all the residue of my estate, real estate, personal property and mixed, of every kind and description visual and contingent, whatsoever situate of which I may own or have the right to dispose of at the time of my decease, to equally share and share alike to pass and vest in each of them Absolutely and in fee simple, becuse they both and each are the only persons that do now and have in the past several years cared for, supported, proved me with money, clothes, labor and attention all of which I am so much in need of in my declining years and health, and both being the only ones I can depend on for aid.

I have executed and set my hand at Beattyville, Kentucky, all of my own free will and accord and without coercion or the influence of others or the beneficiaries herein, and that the same is my free and voluntary act this April 3rd, 1935.

I, Elizabeth MATTOCKS, Clerk Lee Count Court do hereby certify that the foregoing Last Will and Testament of Nancy COUCH, having been filed in open Court on April 10, 1944, same having been proven by testimonies of C. E. TYREE and J. F. ARNOLD to be said Last Will and Testament of Nancy COUCH, deceased, whereupon same was established by Court to be said Last Will and Testament of Nancy COUCH, deceased, and ordered to be recorded, whereupon the same with the foregoing and this my certificate have been duly recorded in my said office in Will Book No. 1, page 476.
Given under my hand, this June 6th, 1944
