Will of Roy Beckham Akers

In The Name of God: Amen:
I Roy Beckham AKERS being of sound mind and disposing memory and realizing the uncetainty of this life do make, publish and declare this to be my last Will and Testament in manner and form as follows, hereby revoking all wills hertofore made by me;  This is to say.

First:  I desire all my just debts and funeral expenses be paid out of my estate as soon as practicable after the time of my decease.

Second:  I give, devise and bequeath all my property of every kind, character and description, both real, personal and mixed, wheresoever situated, to my mother, Mrs. Sarah B. AKERS in fee simple.

Third:  I hereby appoint my mother, Mrs. Sarah B. AKERS executrix of this my last will and testament and direct that no bond be required of her and that no inventory of my estate be taken and that no inventory of same be required of my said executrix.

Dated at the AKERS home farm in Lee County Kentucky this December 3rd, 1922

Signed and acknowledged and published by the said Roy Beckham AKERS as and for his last will and testament in our presence and by us subscribed as attesting witnesses in his presence and at his request and in the presence of eath other at the AKERS home farm in Lee County, Kentucky, this Decembert 3rd, 1922

BRADLEY, Clerk of the Lee County Court, Certify that the foregoing Will and Testament of Roy Beckham AKERS deceased,, was filed in the office of the County Court Clerk on the 12th day of February and ordered to lay over thirty days for exceptions, and none having been taken same was ordered to record on the Regular 9th day of April Term 1923, which is now done accordingly in Will Book No. 1, Page 186.

Renuncuation of Will by Madge AKERS, Widow.

To Sarah B. AKERS, Executrix, and to all whom it May Concern:

I hereby renounce the Will of my late husband, Roy Beckham AKERS, which bears date of Decembert 3rd 1922 and was admitted to probate on the 9th day of April 1923 which is recorded in will book No. 1, Page 186 of the Lee County Court Clerks office and I hereby claim my dowerable and distributable Share of my said husbands estate and elect to take un the laws of this State, inst____ of the provisions of Said Will.

BRADLEY, Clerk of the Lee County Court, Certify that the above renunciation of the Will of Roy Beckham AKERS by his Widow, Madge AKERS, was this day produced to me in Beattyville Lee County Kentucky and acknowledged before me by Madge AKERS, Wido of Roy Beckham AKERS, deceased, and after same was read to her by me, and she acknowledged that she did freely and voluntairly execute the same.
