Rites Held For John M. Cornett

John Monroe CORNETT, 89, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Chas. EVANS of Congleton, Friday night, March 20.

Born in Virginia in 1852, he was married to Mary McPherson COOMER in 1881.  He was a member of the Christian Church.

Funeral services were conducted at the grave in the Roach cemetery near Pinegrove at 3:30 Friday afternoon by Rev. Luther Newnam.

Survivors include one brother, Broadus CORNETT of Middletown, Ohio;  three daughters, Mrs. Taulby UNDERWOOD of Idamay,  Mrs. Chester Roach and Mrs. Chas. EVANS of Congleton;  fifteen granchildren and thirteen great granchildren.
