Mrs. Mary GABBARD Succumbs at 100

Beattyville, Nov. 30 -
Mrs. Mary GABBARD, age 100, died Thursday, November 23 at the home of her son, Ike GABBARD, near Fincastle.  She would have reached the age of 101 on December 3.

Funeral services were conducted Saturday and burial followed at Athol.

She is survived by eleven children:  Mrs. Harrison ALLEN, Mrs. Elijah TOLER, Mrs. Tom COOMER, Breathitt County;  Mrs. Grant VICKERS, Wm. GABBARD, Mrs. Samuel FLANERY, Mrs. Houston MARCUM, Jackson County;  Jake and Steve GABBARD, Perry County, and Mrs. Mose WATKINS and Ike GABBARD of Lee County.

Other survivers include three brothers, Flint MILLER, Breathitt County, Henry MILLER, Kansas, John MILLER, Primrose;  two sisters, Mrs. Katherine LINDEN, Texas and Mrs. Elvara MOORE, Michihan;  127 grandchildren, 115 great grandchildren and 11 great great grandchildren.
