Lillie P. GABBARD, 85, passed away in Middletown Regional Hospital (OH), Thursday, 24 December 1992.

She was born in Island City, Ky, the daughter of Hiram and Minnie HICKS HURST.  In 1924, in Island City, she married Robert D. GABBARD and he preceded her in death in 1984.

Survivors include two sons, Robert and his wife Betty GABBARD, Jr. and Donald and his wife Jewell GABBARD, both of Hamilton, OH;  two daughters, Doris and her husband, Dwayne DAY and Louella and her husband, Dan HAIZMAN, both of Hamilton, OH;  17 grandchildren, and 17 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son Denver GABBARD in 1965;  three brothers, Jim, Luther and Sam HURST;  three sisters, Lucy NEELEY, Stella PENNINGTON, and Angie LYNCH.

Funeral services were held at Brown Dawson Funeral Home with the Rev. Lewis L. FERREL, pastor of the Springboro Baptist Church officiating.  Burial was in the Rose Hill Burial Park, Hamilton, OH.
